Kaltchev Guitar Duo is a guitar duo from Bulgaria.
Career
The couple Ivo and Sofia Kaltchev completed her studies at the Hochschule für Musik " Franz Liszt" in Weimar with Prof. Jürgen Rost. During her studies she won six first prizes in international chamber music competitions.
It was followed by numerous productions in the international radio and television, and concerts in over 20 countries. The duo has played several world premieres and a frequent guest with major symphony orchestras. In addition, both musicians are regularly invited to give master classes and as jury members at international music festivals.
Ivo and Sofia are Kaltchev artistic director of " Aschaffenburg Guitar Days " and initiated the " International Competition for Chamber Music with Guitar " in Aschaffenburg.
