Kabul airport

Kam Air is a private Afghan airline based in Kabul.

History

The company was founded in 2003 and started domestic and international scheduled air traffic. Since late November 2010 Kam Air is on the blacklist of the European Commission and therefore subject to a test flight ban to Europe.

Objectives

Current goals from Kabul, for example, Dubai, Herat, Jalalabad and Faizabad. 2010, there was a connection to Vienna, the first in Europe. Because of safety deficiencies, however, an immediate test flight ban in the EU was enacted after the first flight.

Fleet

As of July 2013, the fleet of Kam Air consists of 10 planes

Incidents

  • On September 16, 2004 Antonov An-24 came when landing in Kabul on the airstrip.
  • On February 3, 2005, a machine of society Boeing 737-200 near Kabul crashed. None of the 104 passengers survived.
  • On August 11, 2008 10, a DC -8 touched starting with the rear the runway of the airport Manston.
