Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan ( Tamil: கமல்ஹாசன், Kamalhācaṉ, Kamalhasan, also கமலஹாசன், Kamalahācaṉ, Kamalahasan; born November 7, 1954 in Paramakudi, Tamil Nadu ) is an Indian actor. Haasan 's Tamil and also works as a director, screenwriter, producer, singer, dancer and poet. He mainly works in the Tamil and Malayalam film, but also played several times in Telugu and Hindi movie.

Biography

Kamal Hassan was born as the fourth son of his parents. His brother Charu Haasan was also an actor. Despite the Brahmanic education he is an atheist and follower of Periyar.

At age six, he began his acting career in the film Kalathur Kannamma. After a few films as a child actor, he worked as a dance assistant and later dance director. In 1973 he was discovered by K. Balachander for his film Arangetram. In the 1970s, he appeared alongside Rajinikanth in several important films of this director to: Apoorva Ragangal (1975 ), Manmatha Leelai (1976 ), Avargal (1977) and the Telugu movie Maro Charithra (1978). The Hindi remake of the film Ek Ke Liye Duuje 1981 was Kamal Haasans Hindi film debut.
