The Kamara is an endangered Ghanaian language and is of only 3.000 (2003 GILLBT ) speakers in the village Banga Lara, approximately 16 km west of Damongo, used in the middle of the Northern region, near the Hanga - language area. She is the mother language of the ethnic group of the Kamara.
Some sources also report other small villages about 24-32 km south of Bole.
