Kambarka Engineering Works

Maschinenfabrik Kambarka (Russian Камбарский машиностроительный завод, Kambarski maschinostroitelny zavod ) is a manufacturer of rail vehicles in the city Kambarka in the Udmurt Republic (Russia).

History

The company dates back to a 1767 after six years of construction put into use iron work that was initially engaged in the smelting of iron and the production of equipment for a nearby sawmill. In 1950, there was the construction of rail vehicles, mainly narrow gauge diesel locomotives of the track widths 750 mm to 1067 mm umprofiliert. Today it has the legal form of a Obschtschestwo s ogranitschennoi otwetstwennostju ( OOO, comparable to a U.S. LLC).
