Kamieniec, Grodzisk Wielkopolski County

Kamieniec ( German stone village; 1943-1945 Wiesenstein village) is a village and seat of the rural community in the powiat Grodziski in the Greater Poland Voivodeship.

History

The village was first mentioned Kamieniec 1303 existed in 1510 there already a church. Former name of the place were Kamencz or Kamones.

In the period 1871-1918, when this area was part of the Prussian province of Posen, the villages of the rural community Kamieniec belonged predominantly to the then district Schmiegel.
