Kang (Botswana)

Kang is a village in the Kgalagadi District of Botswana. Kang is located in the Kalahari, about 300 km north- west of Gaborone and 270 north of the district capital Tshabong away. The place is located on the Trans - Kalahari Highway between Ghanzi, located 250 km north west of Kang, and Sekoma at the junction of the A2 and A20 located 150 km south.

Southwest of Kang there is access to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park, in the north- east to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve.

By Kang Airport the place has its own airfield.

In Kang, the seat of the Dean of the south-western church district of the Evangelical Lutheran Church is of Botswana ( ELCB ), which has a partnership with the church circle simmering -Trarbach. This goes back to the begun in the 1970s in the southwest Botswana work of Kang- Hukuntsi mission of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia, which was supported in this by the United Evangelical Mission, the former Rhenish Missionary Society.
