Kansas City Outlaws

The Kansas City Outlaws were an American ice hockey team from Kansas City, Missouri. The team played in the 2004/05 season in the United Hockey League.

History

The team was founded in 2004 as a franchise of the United Hockey League. In her only season they finished fifth and last place of the Western Division. Due to the lack of sporting success, the team could not win enough audience to cover the costs in the Kemper Arena to cover. With a capacity of over 17,000 spectators the average attendance was 2,800 per game. This was also the reason for a legal battle with a printing company on a sponsorship contract. On 15 April 2005, the team owners gave officially the dissolution of the team known.
