Kantathi Suphamongkhon

Kantathi Suphamongkhon ( Thai: กัน ต ธี ร์ ศุภมงคล ) ( born April 3, 1952 in Bangkok ) is a former foreign minister of Thailand.

Kantathi studied with a scholarship in the U.S. International Law. His academic career was then:

In the same year he joined the Thai Foreign Ministry and took a teaching position in international law and foreign relations. Between 1988 and 1992 he represented Thailand at the UN in New York. 1993 to 1994 he again worked at the State Department as director of policy and planning department.

Since 1995 Kantathi is a member of Parliament and was in this capacity on numerous committees operate. Since 2001, he was Special Envoy of the Prime Minister.

From 11 March 2005 to the coup on 19 September 2006 was Kantathi Suphamongkhon Foreign Minister of Thailand.
