Kantia

Kantia was the name of a phantom island in the Caribbean, who wanted the Leipzig merchant Johann Otto Polter sighted in 1884. The location was the " 14 Latitude "is specified imprecise and incomplete below the Tropic of Cancer.

Polter had allegedly inhabited island named after the philosopher Immanuel Kant, and tried in vain to recover four more expeditions to 1909, to take them for the German Emperor in possession. This confirmed Polter in a document as the discoverer Kantias.
