FH Hafnarfjörður

The Kaplakriki is the multipurpose facility for sporting events. It is located in Hafnarfjörður, the third largest city of Iceland.

Principal users of the stadium, the football club FH Hafnarfjörður which plays its home games since October 15, 1929 at Kaplakriki. The stadium can hold up to 3,600 spectators grasp, of which some 2,200 seats. The average attendance is about 1,500 visitors. For the coming years, capacity expansion is planned on 6,000 seats, canopy, and full seating. This would make it the largest stadium in Iceland, with the exception of Laugardalsvöllur. Besides football, athletics is operated on the stadium.

Next to the stadium there is an indoor arena on the site of Kaplakriki. This was modernized between 2006 and 2008. Among the regular events there are handball and fencing.
