Kapong District

Amphoe Kapong ( Thai: อำเภอ กะปง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Phang Nga. The Phang Nga province is located in the southern region of Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Phanom province of Surat Thani Amphoe Mueang Phang Nga as well, Amphoe Thai Mueang and Amphoe Takua Pa, Phang Nga.

The forests of the district are part of the National Park Khao Lak - Lam Ru.

Management

Amphoe Kapong is divided into five subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 22 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Tha Na is the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Tha Na.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
