Kapuzinerplanken
The Kapuzinerplanken designate a place in the city of Mannheim on the O5 and O6 squares to the squares of the N5 and N6 side facing, not to be confused with the directly adjacent " Kapuzinerplatz " in N4. It was named after the Capuchin monastery, which was located from 1701 to 1839 / 1840 in the squares N5 and N6 in both.
The Kapuzinerplanken parallel to the large planks, a part of Mannheim's pedestrian shopping zone that leads from the water tower to the parade ground.
In the square stands a monument to the flower Peters, a Mannheim original.
Regular events
- Bio - weekly market, Friday from 12:00 bis 19:00 clock clock
- In summer, the place of the start venue for the 14 - day held in-line skating runs.
- In December, a small Christmas market is held here.
- Various retail events / markets primarily by the company Engelhorn (eg Christmas Market, Easter market, craft market, etc.)
