Kara DioGuardi

Kara DioGuardi ( born December 9, 1970 in Scarsdale, New York) is an American record producer, songwriter and pop musician.

Career

DioGuardis Father Joseph J. DioGuardi is the son of Albanian immigrants and was a member of the U.S. Congress. She herself grew up in New Rochelle and attended a conservative private school. After high school graduation, she studied first (until 1993 ) Political Science at Duke University in Durham (North Carolina) and then worked for Billboard Magazine. Between 1999 and 2001 she made together with Jon Wolfson own recordings under the name MaD DoLL.

While it was initially denied the commercial success of their own musical activities, she was a very popular writer of songs for internationally known pop musicians, including:

  • Nicole Scherzinger - Baby Love
  • Demi Lovato - The Middle; Believe in Me
  • Pink - Sober

In the German -speaking world is, inter alia, the band Juli known, used a melody from DioGuardi for her song Tears heavy.

In July 2006, DioGuardi was a jury member in the U.S. talent show The One: Making a Music Star to see, but had very little success and was discontinued after two weeks. In 2009 and 2010 she was a jury member on the hit talent show American Idol.
