Kara Hayward

Kara Hayward ( * November 17, 1998 in Andover, Massachusetts ) is an American actress. She is known for her role in the film Moonrise Kingdom (2012 ).

Life and career

Kara Hayward was born in November 1998 in Andover, a town in the U.S. state of Massachusetts, and grew up there. She attended a public school outside of Boston and made first acting experience in plays during the Summer Academy. Ever since she was nine years old, she is a member of Mensa, a club for people with high IQs.

At the age of twelve, she got her first role in Wes Anderson's film comedy Moonrise Kingdom, which opened the 65th International Film Festival of Cannes in May 2012. She plays there next to Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray and Jared Gilman, the main role of Suzy Bishop, resulting in Shakusky Sam (played by Gilman ) falls and blows with him in the wilderness, after which the community gets the persecution. For this role, she was, among others, at the Young Artist Awards 2013 in the category Best Actor in a Motion Picture at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards in 2013 for Best / r Young Actor / Actress, as well as for the Phoenix Film Critics Society Award for Best Category Youth performance in a lead or Supporting Role - Female nominated. At the MTV Movie Awards 2013, she received along with Gilman for their shared kiss a nomination in the Best Picture kiss.
