The Karakax (also Karakasch; Chinese黑 玉河, Pinyin Hēiyù hé, the river Heiyu ') is the left frontal flow of Hotan in Aksai Chin and south of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region in southwest China.

The Karakax rises in Aksai Chin on the northern slope of the western Himalayas. It flows through Aksai Chin in the north and then turns to the west. In the settlement Xaidulla the Karakax changes course to the north and cuts through the western Kunlun Mountains. He turns to it to the east. He sets his course east-northeast direction continuing through the Kunlun Mountains. Shortly before reaching the Tarim River from the Wuluwati Dam is dammed. It now flows through the Taklamakan desert west of the city of Hotan. It happened the same city, which is also the administrative center of the homonymous district. About 130 km to the north, the Karakax combined with the Yurungkax to Hotan. The entire course of the rivers Karakax and Hotan has a length of 1035 km. The river name has the meaning " black Jadefluss ".
