Karamay District

Karamay (克拉玛依 区; Pinyin: Kèlāmǎyī Qū; Uighur: قاراماي رايونى / Karamay Rayoni ) is a municipality of the prefecture-level city of Karamay in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. It lies on the northwestern edge of the Djungarian basin. The administrative area of the district has an area of ​​3832.97 km ² and has 150,000 inhabitants ( 2004). The municipality is the city center and the seat of the municipal government of Karamay.

Administrative Divisions

At the community level, Karamay is composed of six road districts and one municipality. These are:
