Karamojong people

The Karamojong or Karimojong are a semi-nomadic pastoral people in the dry northeastern Uganda in Karamoja subregion. They speak Ngakaramojong, a ostnilotische language. Many of them are still followers of traditional beliefs.

Karamojong were often involved in recent years and to the present day in armed raids into neighboring Kenya, where cattle are stolen and often people come to death.
