Karel Abraham

Karel Abraham; ( Born January 2, 1990 in Brno ) is a Czech motorcycle racer.

Abraham starts in the Motorcycle World Championship since 2005. His father Karel Abraham Sr., the Circuit of Brno, takes place on the annual Grand Prix of the Czech Republic belongs, acting as sponsor. Also, the Cardion AB team, competes for the Abraham since 2005, belonged to his father.

Career

With the financial help of his father Abraham came in the 125cc class of the MotoGP World Championship in 2005; but could retract in 15 starts on an Aprilia no World Championship points. In 2006, he took eight points and thus the 24th place in the overall standings. The following year, Abraham rose up in the 250 cc class and brought an Aprilia 31 points and 16th place in the drivers' standings. After two more years in the quarter-liter class, this was replaced for the 2010 season by the Moto2 category. Abraham started this year on FTR and pulled at the last race of the season, the Grand Prix of Valencia at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo his first Grand Prix victory. Shortly before, he had gone to third place in the Japanese Grand Prix behind Toni Elías and Julián Simón. With 96 points, he was seen in the overall standings to tenth.

2011 Karel Abraham moved with his team in the MotoGP class. In his debut season he won on a Ducati 64 points and thus rank 14th in the overall standings. The same World Championship position he secured with 59 points in the following year.

2013 Abraham travels continue in the MotoGP class and takes on ART. During qualifying for the Grand Prix of Texas he crashed after a collision with Bryan Staring and injured his shoulder. This he fell due to injury from two races. Only at the French Grand Prix again Abraham took part in a race and brought a world championship point. After the warm -up to the Grand Prix of Indianapolis, Abraham decided not to participate in the race due to its 'OFF' state of health.
