Karel Blažej Kopřiva

Karel Blazej Kopřiva (also: Karl Blasius Kopřiva; born February 9, 1756 in Zittolieb, † May 15, 1785 ) was a Czech organist and composer.

Kopřiva studied first with his father, the cantor and composer Václav January Kopřiva (1708-1789), and later with Josef Seger in Prague. He worked then as an assistant to his father and organist in his birthplace and composed several masses, Missa Solemnis including one, organ fugues and concertos, symphonies and arias. From his father, a Missa pastoralis is handed down.
