Karel Kroupa

Karel Kroupa ( born April 15, 1950 in Brno ) is a former Czech football player and later football manager.

Career

Karel Kroupa played in his youth for the Brno Sokol Bosnohy, starting in 1966 for Spartak KPS Brno. Between 1969 and 1971 he completed his military service at Dukla Tábor. 1971 changed the striker to Zbrojovka Brno, where he played until 1982 and again from 1983 to 1985. A 1982/83 season he played with TJ Gottwaldov.

Kroupa was appointed on October 13, 1974 for the first time in the Czechoslovak national team, for whom he played a total of 21 games. He scored four goals. His last appearance for Czechoslovakia had the attacker on February 3, 1980. Kroupa 1976 was with Czechoslovakia European champion, but did not come in the semifinals and the finals are used.

In 1977, Karel Kroupa Czechoslovak Footballer of the Year in 1977 /78 and 1978/79 top scorer in the Czechoslovak league. In 1978 he became Czechoslovak Zbrojovka Brno with Master.

In the 1st Czechoslovak league Karel Kroupa scored 118 goals and is therefore a member of the Club of the striker, the club kanonýrů ligových.

At the end of his career, the striker played from 1985 to 1991 in the lower Austrian leagues.

Manager

From 1991 to March 2005 Kroupa worked as a manager at the 1 FC Brno. He then until mid-2006 Manager of the 1st FK Drnovice.
