Karen Forkel

Karen Forkel (* September 24, 1970 in Wolfen ) is a former German track and field athlete and Olympic medalist, who belonged in the 1990s to the world's best javelin throwers. Her greatest international success is the bronze medal at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona ( 66.86 m). In addition, the Junior World Champion and two-time European junior champion won two silver medals at the European Championships, in 1993 Vice World Champion and won the 1996 German Championships.
