Karimata Islands

The Karimatainseln ( Indonesian Kepulauean Karimata ) are separated a group of islands near the west coast of the Indonesian part of Borneo and Billiton through the Karimata Street. Administratively, they belong to the province of Bangka Belitung -.

The group consists of a larger ( Karimata, 179 km ² ), and numerous smaller islands together with 222 km ² area.

On the island Karimata two mountain peaks, the so-called blunt and sharp spades, with 1022 and 1034 meters above sea level rise.
