Karin Binder

Karin Binder ( born August 28, 1957 in Stuttgart ) is a German politician (The Left ). She is a member of the German Bundestag.

Life and career

Post-high school binder was trained as a retail clerk. Subsequently, she completed a part-time training for trade specialist landlady.

During her training, Binder hired as a youth trainee representative and later was for many years a staff representative and council chairman in a company of Bertelsmann AG in Stuttgart.

After the union trade, banking and insurance companies in a variety of functions at district, regional and state level was a voluntary basis since 1976, she was from April 2003 to October 2005 full-time chairman of the DGB Region Central Baden in Karlsruhe. Binder is partnered.

Policy

From 1975 to 1998 Binder was a member of the SPD. From 1990 to 1992 she served on the council of Stuttgart. In 2005 she became a member of the Left Party and the WASG (now Left Party).

Since 2005 Binder is a member of the German Bundestag and is a member of the Executive Board and the Parliamentary Board of the Left faction also she is a member and chairwoman of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection.
