Karin Hänel

Karin Hanel (married Antretter; born May 28, 1957) is a former German long jumper.

In the Indoor Athletics Championships 1977 in San Sebastián, she was seventh. The following year saw an eighth place finish at the European Indoor Championships in Milan, a seventh at the European Championships in Prague.

In 1981, she won at the European Indoor Championships in Grenoble with the indoor world record of 6.77 m. In 1982, she won at the European Indoor Championships in Milan silver and was eighth at the European Championships in Athens.

In 1978, she became German champion in 1981 and 1982, German Vice-Champion. In the hall they were in 1977 and 1978 champion and 1981 and 1982 runner-up.

Karin Hanel started in 1977 for the OSC Dortmund, 1978-1981 for the ASV Köln and 1982 for the LG Ahlen / Hamm.
