Karin Illgen

Karin Illgen ( born April 7, 1941 in Greifswald ) is a German track and field athlete and Olympian, who - starting for the GDR - at the European Championships 1969 bronze medal in the discus throw won ( 48.86 to 57.54 - 58.48 to 57.10 - from 58.12 to 58.66 m). In the 1968 Olympics she finished in tenth place ( 50.40 - invalid - 52.18 m). At the European Championships in 1971 she left in qualifying.

Karin Illgen belonged to the SC DHfK Leipzig. In her competition time, she was 1.81 m tall and 83 kg.
