Karin Mortensen

Karin Ørnhøj Mortensen ( born September 26, 1977 in Aarhus ) is a former Danish handball player who was active in the highest Danish league goal for many years.

Karin Mortensen began in VRI with the handball matches. Later, the goalkeeper moved to Horsens HK, they left in the direction Ikast 2002. With Ikast - bording Elite Håndbold they stood in 2003 in the final of the Danish Championship, failed there but at Slagelse DT. In 2006, she left Ikast - bording and played four seasons for SK Aarhus. In summer 2010, she signed a contract with FIF, where she ended her career after the 2012/13 season.

Mortensen has 233 caps for the Danish women's handball national contest in which they scored four goals. With Denmark she won the 2000 and 2004 Olympic gold medal. In the summer of 2012, she again took part in the Olympic Games in London. In addition she won the 2002 European Championships. It belonged to the squad of their national federation in the 2009 World Cup in China.
