Karise Eden

Karise Eden ( born July 11, 1992) is an Australian pop singer. She won the Australian edition of the singing talent show The Voice in June 2012.

Biography

Karise Eden comes from New South Wales. At age 13, she left her parents' home and then lived in various foster parents. At 13 she had her first singing gig and continued to pursue singing, though she never took singing lessons. In 2012, she participated in the first season of the singing talent show The Voice in Australia and was resulting as the winner.

During the show, she placed several songs in the Australian singles chart; after the final, she won the first three places at the same time, which was previously only in 1964 the Beatles succeeded. Another song debuted at number five, eight songs were simultaneously placed in the top 50.

Five of her song interpretations reached gold status and their version of the Leonard Cohen classic Hallelujah went platinum, although the songs just a week were partly in the charts before the album My Journey appeared with her songs from the show. The album debuted at number one on the charts, stayed there for six weeks and was awarded double platinum.
