Karki, Azerbaijan

Kərki (also Karki, Armenian Tigranaschen ) is surrounded by Armenia Azerbaijani village which is occupied by Armenia and is managed by the Armenian province of Ararat. History

In May 1992, during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Karki was an Azerbaijani exclave surrounded by the territory of Armenia, occupied by Armenian armed forces. Through the village, the road connecting M2 which connects Yerevan Armenia and Southeast running. Most residents are heutztutage Armenians who had left Azerbaijan during the war. The village has been renamed to Tigranaschen.
