Karl Abt (painter)

Charles Abbot ( born December 18, 1899 in Pforzheim, † November 28, 1985 ) was a German painter.

Life

At the age of twelve years, the son of a jewelry technician began to paint oil paintings. To promote his talent, his parents allowed him to attend the Pforzheim School of Applied Arts. Especially the mother Abbot stood up for his artistic production. 1917 Charles Abbot was called up for military service and therefore had to finish his education.

After the end of World War I began abbot wishes of his father trained as a jewel goldsmith. He continued his artistic training until years later, in 1928 continued at the National Art School in Karlsruhe. From 1935 worked as Abbot Karl freelance artist in Pforzheim. The artist was known primarily for his landscape paintings, and paintings of flowers.

He was buried at the Pforzheim 's main cemetery.
