Karl Aletter

Karl Aletter ( born July 8, 1906 in Mannheim, † March 29, 1991 in Kaiserslautern, Germany ) was a German rower of the twentieth century.

Career

Aletter took part in the 1928 and 1932 Summer Olympics and won in 1932 along with Hans Maier, Walter Flinsch and Ernst Gaber the silver medal in coxless four, after he had in 1928 reached the fifth place.

In his career he won a total of eight German league titles, four in the aft and four without. For many years he was deputy chairman of the German Rowing Federation, whose honorary member 1970 he was appointed. Aletter doctorate in medicine, he practiced later as a specialist in internal diseases in Kaiserslautern, where he died vierundachtzigjährig.
