Karl Ansén

Karl " Kalle " Anshelm Ansén ( born July 26, 1887 in Stockholm, † July 20, 1959 in Morgongåva ) was a Swedish football player. The striker was one of the eleven players who contested in 1908 the first international match of the Swedish national team.

Career

Ansén played in the first two decades of the 20th century for his time in Stockholm -based Allmänna Idrottsklubben. In the prior introduction of the Allsvenskan as a nationwide league discharged in the cup shape national championship with the club in 1911 he reached the final of the first Svenska Mästerskapet. On the side of Claes Berg, Theodore Malm and the Dane Vilhelm palm he deceit in a 3-2 win over IFK Uppsala for the third winning the league title in the club's history. Three years later, he reached the final with the team again, with a 7-2 final victory against Helsingborgs IF - Ekroth Helge, Ivar Svensson and Valfrid Gunnarsson met two times, also was one mountain to the scorers - he won the second title. This was followed two years later by a 3-1 final victory over local rivals Djurgårdens IF the third title.

Ansén also played in 17 games for the Swedish national team. His international debut, he celebrated the first international match of the national team, as they prevailed on July 12, 1908 with a 11:3 win against the Norwegian national team. He replaced the originally planned Samuel Lindqvist from local rivals as a left winger. With the choice he also took part in the Olympic Games in 1908 and 1912, thereby missed the team bronze in 1908 against the Netherlands after goals from Jops Reeman and Edu Snethlage by a 0-2 defeat only just a medal.
