Karl Dodd

Karl Dennis Dodd ( born November 13, 1980 in Southport ) is an Australian football player.

Career

After a few years in the regional state leagues of Australia's defender managed in 2003 the leap to the Brisbane Strikers in the National Soccer League, but was already set one year later. After the founding of the A-League, he received a contract with Queensland Roar, which he left after a disappointing season athletic performance in December 2005 to join the Romanian second division club FC Universitatea Craiova. After a few months, his contract was terminated in Craiova again, as he had fallen out with the coach. When Scottish club Falkirk FC he signed in March 2006 a short -term contract until end of season and following a new one-year contract for the season 2006/07.

In the summer of 2007, he returned to the A-League and signed a two-year contract with the newly formed New Zealand representatives Wellington Phoenix. The people in charge of Wellington Phoenix decided in April 2009 to a contract extension and Dodd played in sequence in the New South Wales Premier League appearances for some Sydney United. The end of July secured the newly formed A- League team North Queensland Fury services Dodds. Once he got to the first seven games in the Innverteidigung on the grid, he retired in September 2009, a knee injury that kept him eight weeks of the game. In his comeback in late November against the Central Coast Mariners, he was replaced in the 1:5 defeat after an hour and no longer taken into account in the wake of coach Ian Ferguson, who sat instead on Matt Smith. In the rest of the season Dodd moved to another knee injury and fell to end of season from where he received a new contract with North Queensland.

A new club he was only in September 2011 in Hong Kong with the first division club TSW Pegasus.
