Karl Fortlage

Charles Fort situation (* June 12, 1806 in Osnabrück, † November 8, 1881 in Jena ) was a German philosopher.

Charles Fort situation in 1829 Privatdozent in Heidelberg, 1845 in Berlin, and appointed in 1846 as professor of philosophy in Jena.

Originally Hegelian, as his early work The gaps of the Hegelian system ( Heidelb. 1832) proves, he went through the study of Kant and especially Fichte and Beneke causes, over a fusion of science teaching with the empirical psychology and to a position that he himself has called transcendental pantheism.

His two main philosophical works are: Genetic history of philosophy since Kant (Leipzig 1852) and System of Psychology ( Leipzig 1855, 2 vols ).
