Karl Fritsch

Karl Fritsch ( born February 24, 1864 in Vienna, † 17 January 1934 in Graz ) was an Austrian botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Fritsch ".

Life

Karl Fritsch was the son of Karl Fritsch meteorologists. He began Sciences at the University of Innsbruck to study and moved in the same subject then to the University of Vienna. In 1886 he was able to complete this program successfully with a doctorate ( Dr. phil. ). In his honor, a magazine series was founded in 1994 by the Institute of Botany and baptized Fritschiana.
