Karl Geiger

Karl Geiger (born 11 February 1993) is a German ski jumper who competes for the SC Oberstdorf.

Career

Geiger is a member of the C- squad of the German Ski Association. In March 2012, it was first used in Kuopio, Finland in the second-class Continental. In the summer competitions on 16 September 2012 at the newly built Sneschinka in the Russian Tchaikovsky he jumped in third for the first time in this competition on the podium. A week later he was even able to occupy second place in the Saxon Klingenthal. In the end it was enough in the overall standings of the Summer Grand Prix to fifth place. Because of these successes, he was nominated for the World Cup opener on the last weekend of November, 2012 in Lillehammer, Norway. There he was not only able to qualify for the competition, but also the same for both the normal hill (as 21 ) as well as on the large hill score (as 30 ). His previous best World Cup result reached Geiger sixth on December 9, 2012 in Sochi, Russia.

At the Junior World Championships 2013 in Liberec, he won the bronze medal with the German team in the team competition. In individual he finished seventh rank.

In the 2013/14 season Geiger was able to celebrate with the second place in the team competition in Klingenthal his first World Cup podium. Mid- February 2014, he won the Inselbergschanze in Brotterode his first two Continentalcupspringen.
