Karl-Heinz Danielowski

Karl -Heinz Danielowski ( born March 31, 1940 in Sülldorf ) is a former rower from the GDR. 1976 Danielowski as helmsman Olympic champion was eighth.

Life

After training as a lathe operator to Danielowski reported to the People's Navy. On the school fleet was discovered his qualities as helmsman of rowing boats. From 1963 Danielowski participated in international races. In 1964, he was with Günter Bergau and Peter Gorny European champion in pairs with coxswain. At the Olympic Games in Montreal Danielowski reached the end of his career but still an Olympic Final. He was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver for this success. In addition to his athletic career Danielowski had studied financial economics, his military rank was that of a captain lieutenant.
