Karl-Heinz Geils

Karl -Heinz Geils ( born May 20, 1955) is a former German football player.

With a total of 405 missions between 1974 and 1989 for the clubs Werder Bremen, Arminia Bielefeld, 1st FC Cologne and Hannover 96 defender Karl -Heinz Geils was one of the perennial favorites in the Bundesliga. Items are left to him it fails. His biggest success was the participation in the final of the UEFA Cup in 1986 with the first FC Cologne against Real Madrid.

Karl -Heinz Geils played 22 internationals for various DFB teams, but none for the senior team.

Mid-1990s was Geils manager of Atlas Delmenhorst. In the Regionalliga season 1995/96 he was released after 27 match day.

Today he lives in his hometown Ritterhude, a Lower Saxon village north adjacent to Bremen, where he runs a driving school. His wife Susanne has been selected in the same place in 2006 for mayor.
