Karl Henry

Karl Levi Daniel Henry ( * November 26, 1982 in Wolverhampton) is an English footballer. The deployable both on the wings and in the center midfielder has been active in July 2013 for the Queens Park Rangers.

Sports career

Although Henry was born in Wolverhampton, he began his footballing career as a youth player at Stoke City, where the way up he went through the youth teams in the professional division. He celebrated February 7, 2001 during a 4-0 victory against Walsall FC in the Football League Trophy to start in the first team. His next play, he came though until the following season 2001 /02, but was involved there in 2002 at the then third division after league debut against Huddersfield Town on 8 September 2001, a total of 24 games instrumental in the rise in the second division.

On the status of a supplementary player was Henry but in the subsequent period not beyond. About half of his forces in the " Potter " were not at the start and almost logically lent in the club in January 2004 to the fourth division Cheltenham Town from. After his return he continuously played in the team and came in the 2004/05 season on 34 league bets. The new coach Johan Boskamp, however, held in the 2005 /06 no longer fixed on him, and so the club has already expressed prior to the conclusion of the season that Henry was granted a release to a change. When Tony Pulis Boskamps then took heritage, the club lead changed their opinion and submitted to the player, although it still took part in the training, but was formally vertragslos, a new offer. Nevertheless, it allowed the club to audition at the Wolverhampton Wanderers. Since the " Wolves " decided to buy one, Henry moved in August 2006 to Wolverhampton, where as consideration flowed training compensation in the amount of 100,000 pounds to Stoke-on -Trent - other parts of the contract were a 15 % stake for Stoke City in the event of resale to a third club and other compensation payments of up to 75,000 pounds, varying by the use of numbers in the Wolves.

In the first season in his hometown club, Henry established immediately in the root formation, although he often had to help out on the position of right-back. On 3 March 2007, he retired in the match against Luton Town a potentially life-threatening Milzquetschung to which he again completely recovered, but put him up to the end of the season out of action. With 44 missions in the season 2007 /08 he returned all the way back into the first team and having it there just missed participating in the ascension play-off games in the 2008/ 09 season he achieved promotion to the Premier League. He was represented at times experienced Jody Craddock as team captain and was in the center of midfield alongside the new signing David Jones especially the "man for the Rough ". Given the growing importance of tying him to the club in the long term with a new four-year contract on May 27, 2009. On July 23, 2013 Henry switched to the relegated from the Premier League Queens Park Rangers. The contract period is two years.
