Karl Kani

Karl Kani (actually Carl Williams) (born 1970 in Brooklyn, New York City ) is the fashion designer and the founder and president of the same hip-hop fashion labels.

Kani began with the design of fashion at the age of 16 years after he had learned the appropriate craft in tailoring his father. In 1989 he founded in Los Angeles fashion company Karl Kani, with annual sales of more than 60 million U.S. dollars. Popular its casual and strongly influenced by the hip- hop scene designs were mainly due to the appeal, the clothes found in African American stars of music, sport and film scene, especially with Will Smith and 2Pac. Thanks to the success of his company Kani is, according to the People Magazine since 1996 among the 100 wealthiest African Americans.
