Karl Link

Karl link ( born July 27, 1942 in Herrenberg ) is a retired German racing cyclist and retired director of Olympic training Stuttgart.

Link was at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo in 1964 a member of the team that won the gold medal in the team pursuit. In 1964, he had already won the world title in this discipline. In the Summer Olympics 1968 in Mexico City, he was a member of the train quad, who won the silver medal in the team pursuit.

Link is trained typesetter. In 1965 he received a scholarship to study at the Sport University in Cologne. First BDR- youth coach, he was assistant coach of Gustav Kilian, whom he succeeded after the 1972 Summer Olympics. In 1985 he was secretary of the organizing committee of the World Championship of cycling juniors. In 1987, Karl link was put in charge of the National Training Center Stuttgart, which he held until his retirement in July 2007.
