Karl Otto Weber

Karl Otto Weber ( born December 29, 1827 in Frankfurt am Main, † June 11, 1867 in Heidelberg ) was a German surgeon and pathologist.

Weber studied in Bonn and Paris. He habilitated in 1853 in surgery. In 1856 he was appointed Professor of Surgery, University of Heidelberg, the. Weber was specialized in pathological anatomy and a specialist in the field of histology and histogenesis. At the Surgical University Clinic Heidelberg, he was the impetus for the construction of the hospital building in Heidelberg / Bergheim.

Weber died almost 40 years old at a diphtheria.
