Karl Peglau

Karl Peglau ( born May 18, 1927 in Muskau, † November 29, 2009 in Berlin) was a German traffic psychologist and inventor of the traffic light man.

Life

Peglau was a skilled machinist and engineering draftsman. After the Second World War, he made ​​up for his high school and graduated in 1954 with a degree in psychology from. From 1957 until the end of the GDR Peglau worked as a senior psychologist transport the medical service of transport of the GDR. There he developed in 1961 Ampelmännchen that today in this form - also be marketed as a souvenir and decoration - in addition to the use for traffic control.

Tennis
