Karl Wilhelm Rosenmund

Karl Wilhelm Rosenmund (* December 15, 1884 in Berlin, † 1965 in Kiel ) was a German chemist.

Rosenmund studied chemistry and received his doctorate in 1906 in Berlin. His doctor father was Otto Diels. Rose mouth taught and researched at the University of Kiel. He discovered named after him Rosenmund reduction of acid chlorides to aldehydes and the Rosenmund -von Braun reaction for the preparation of aryl nitriles from aryl bromides.
