Karla Borger

Karla Borger ( born November 22, 1988 in Heppenheim ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player.

Career

Karla Borger first played indoor volleyball at TSV Rot-Weiß Auerbach, 1 VC Wiesbaden, USC Braunschweig, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and 2009 in the Volleyball Bundesliga Allianz Volley Stuttgart. In the 2009/10 season Karla Borger came with the Regional team of TV Villingen promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga, where they played until 2012.

In beach volleyball Rieke Brink - Abeler 2009 was their partner. Since 2010, Karla Borger plays back together with Britta Büthe with which she became world champion at the World Championships in Alanya students. 2011 won Borger / Büthe the gold medal at the Universiade in Shenzhen and were third in the German Championship. 2012 occupied Borger / Büthe at the European Championships in Scheveningen and in the German Championship in each fifth. In 2013 they reached at the World Cup in Stare Jabłonki first Europeans a World Cup final and lost in three sets against the Chinese Xue Chen and Zhang Xi. Karla Borger is the daughter of Cordula Pütter, the Beach Volleyball European Champion of 1995.
