Karma Chameleon

Karma Chameleon is a song by Culture Club, released on the album Colour by Numbers in 1983. It was three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1984. The harmonica in the song was played by Judd Lander, a former member of The Hideaways, who and on her in Culture Club Song Church of the Poison Mind has played in the Spice Girls song Say You'll Be There. The song was originally Cameo Chameleon hot, there are records of interviews from 1983 to prove it. In an interview Boy George said:

The single was released in two versions, with the That's The Way ( I'm Only Trying To Help You) B-side as a studio and as a live version. The maxi - single was released with the B-side I'll Tumble 4 Ya ( U.S. 12 " Remix)

Music Video

The music video takes place in 1870 in Mississippi. On the shore people appear in colorful costumes, including dancers in red, gold and green. Boy George is also to be seen there and sings the song, while a pickpocket travels by the amount of people.

On the riverfront, a ship called "The Chameleon" comes ( German: The Chameleon ) past, people climb this. On board the ship, some of the passengers to play poker. As the pickpocket is caught in a theft, he is chased over the plank.
