Karol Divín

Karol Divín ( born February 16, 1936 in Budapest ) is a former Slovak figure skater who started in a single run for Czechoslovakia. He is the European champion in 1958 and 1959.

The eleven- Czechoslovak champion finished (except for 1960) each European Championship, where he took part, on the podium four times third place, twice as Vice - European Champion and twice, in 1958 and 1959, when European champions, both times before Alain Giletti. Seven times he took part in world championships and never placed worse than sixth. In 1962, he became Vice World Champion behind Donald Jackson and 1964 third. Divin denied three Olympic Games, in 1956, he was fifth in 1960 he won Olympic silver behind David Jenkins and 1964, he finished fourth.
