Karol Jokl

Karol Jokl ( born August 29, 1945 in Partizánske; † 28 October 1996 in Bratislava) was a Slovak football player who currently Czechoslovakia as a player. His father was a very good football player

Club career

Jokl played in his youth for the Iskra Partizánske. At age 18, he moved to TJ Slovan Bratislava CHZJD. With Slovan he won the European Cup Winners' Cup. In the finals in Basel on 21 May 1969, FC Barcelona was beaten 3-2. Further successes with Slovan: Czechoslovakia Cup Winners (1968, 1974), Master of Czechoslovakia (1970, 1974), Cup Winners Slovakia (1970, 1974), winner of the UEFA Intertoto Cup (1968, 1970, 1972, 1973, 1974).

National

Jokl debuted with 18 years in the Czechoslovak national team. In 27 games he scored eleven goals. Height of his career in the national team was participating in the Football World Cup 1970 in Mexico, where he has played in all three games of Czechoslovakia.

Coaching career
