Karolina Å prem

Karolina Šprem ( born October 25, 1984 in Varaždin, SR Croatia ) is a former Croatian tennis player.

Career

Karolina Šprem that began with nine years with the sport of tennis, was with 17 professional. She won in her career on the ITF Women's Circuit ten singles and one doubles title.

She had often struggled with injuries, which she threw back a long way from 17th in the world rankings, which she held in October 2004. In Croatian Fed Cup team, she was the undisputed number 1 Šprem was known for her uncompromising play and their hard hitting groundstrokes. They celebrated their biggest success in 2004 with the quarter-finals at the All England Championships at Wimbledon, where she then retired against Lindsay Davenport.
