Since then Karres was occupied by Bavaria, the town was administered by the court Imst. Towards the end of the 13th century, the community came to the Petersberg.

1288 was the first time the mention of the name " Cherres ". Until then, the town was administered by the Court of St. Petersberg. Approximately 12 years seems to Karres as a community, which own Dorfmeister (comparable with the mayor ) had.

In the times of the Middle Ages mining was carried on Tschirgant, he had to leave but reinstated in the 19th century. Evidence for this is two houses Knapp.

1810, the village came to the court Imst again, but this was reversed again in 1817. 1849 Karres was added to the newly created Judicial District Silz, 1907 excreted in the judicial district of Imst.
